Aloha K Hawaii BBQ
About This Spot
Walking into Aloha K Hawaii BBQ feels like stepping into a small slice of island life right in the heart of Rancho Cucamonga. There’s a gentle warmth in the air, not just from the inviting aromas of marinated chicken and smoky pork but from the genuinely friendly greetings that greet you at the door. The space hums with a casual, unhurried energy where locals seem to come not just for a quick meal, but for a comforting reminder of home or a little culinary escape to the islands.
This modest spot carries a cozy, neighborhood eatery vibe, where familiar faces return through the years, and newcomers are quickly drawn into the rhythm of aloha hospitality. The pace is relaxed, yet there’s a quiet excitement in the way the kitchen fills the room with the earthy smells of grilled short ribs and flaky fish tempura, paired with the subtle sweetness of their coastal-style sides.
Every visit blends discovery with a sense of nostalgia. Whether you’re sharing bite-sized treats like Spam rolls or savoring heartier combinations, the flavors are layered with thoughtful touches—a balance of sweet, smoky, and savory notes that echo the diversity of Hawaiian cuisine. It’s the kind of place where the portion size surprises you, generous enough that a single meal often stretches into shared moments later on.
What truly sets Aloha K apart is the warmth of its service. Staff here carry themselves with a genuine ease, smiling and guiding you through the menu with the same care you’d expect from a friend sharing their favorite island secret. This is a spot that invites you to slow down, enjoy the simple pleasures of good food, and soak in a relaxed atmosphere that feels like an everyday celebration of community and flavor.

My coworker brought me here for our lunch break. I love the warm welcome I received from entering the restaurant. The woman at the register was incredibly kind and informative regarding the menu. And the portions! OMG, I had a mini meal and let's just say, I'm saving the rest for dinner! Tonight! I ordered a Spam Masubi and Chicken Katsu! I love this place, such an amazing find!

I've been coming to Aloha K since high-school, and in the years I've been away, I've literally dreamt of this place. Nostalgia aside, they provide great food for great prices, and the staff are the sweetest people ever. They always greet people with a smile and I hope I can come back more often

Such a welcoming atmosphere. I did a pick up but definitely wanna dine in one day. I especially loved seeing the slushie/smoothie menu right at the front especially during this heat. Food on point.

I’ve been coming here for nearly 10 years, and overall the food has remained solid, especially for the value in the Rancho area. The chicken is well-marinated and flavorful, and the portions are generous — two combo boxes are enough for three people. The macaroni salad used to be one of my favorites, but recently it feels heavier and noticeably sweeter than before. The chicken is still tasty, though it’s sometimes grilled a bit too charred, and occasionally on the salty side. If you’re attending school nearby, dining in is actually quite nice and comfortable. Personally, I usually prefer taking it home and enjoying it while watching TV. That said, for the price and portion size, this place is still a great local value, and the quality has mostly held up over the years. I do hope they ease up on the charring and salt, because when it’s done right, it’s really satisfying. A longtime spot I’ll continue to support, with room to improve.

Not a fancy restaurant, but it is cozy. Friendly staff makes you feel like eating at home. Lots of dishes that you can choose from and it fulfills your cravings. Reasonable prices and just right portions.

Always an amazing time eating here. The people are friendly and they serve the best Chicken Katsu in the IE. I highly recommend them and you should give it a try. They allow take out and dine in as of recently. Plenty of parking nearby and good prices for the portions offered.

Great spot for Hawaiian BBQ! All around good flavors: short ribs, beef and chicken. We will definitely be coming back here!!!!

Extremely delicious. Don't let the little place fool you. Large portions of meat for your hunger. Recommend that you order an extra side of mack salad. Not a glamorous place. But they get the food done
